Isabel Maldonado

Assistant Director of Recruitment and Partnerships

Education: B.A. in International Affairs, University of Cincinnati; Master of International Business, Florida International University

Originally from Ecuador, Isabel moved to the United States at 17 to pursue her studies. She has dedicated her career to bridging gaps in access to resources for international students and immigrant communities, developing programs that foster inclusion, mentorship, and leadership. Through her work in international student services and community outreach, she has advocated for diverse populations, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities needed to succeed.

Before joining the Community Transformation Center, Isabel managed the International Student Services Office at Palm Beach Atlantic University, guiding students through government regulations, cultural adjustment, and academic success. Her work has always focused on making education accessible and equipping individuals with the skills to build strong, resilient communities.

As Assistant Director of CTC, Isabel focuses on recruitment and community outreach, strengthening partnerships that advance the center’s mission. She believes in the power of education to transform lives and is committed to creating spaces where people from all backgrounds can grow and contribute meaningfully.

Outside of work, Isabel enjoys writing songs, playing the guitar, and singing with her family, friends, and the worship team at her church. She sees art as a vital part of human development and loves discovering the unique talents of those around her. She also enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes alongside her husband, Nicolás, a Colombian chef.
